La Fundición Theatre is located in the former foundry of the Old Mint of Seville (16th century), a municipal building that was restored in 1987.

It is the headquarters of ATAES (Association of Friends of Theatre and Performing Arts of Seville) whose programme features contemporary Spanish authors and plays.
