Umbrete
Municipality located in the middle of the Aljarafe, to the west of the city of Seville, in the midst of a landscape of olive groves, fields of cereals and vineyards, the grapes of which are used to produce a delicious must and young and fruity wines. It has interesting buildings and monuments, such as the Palacio Arzobispal, the Iglesia de la Consolación and beautiful noble residences.
History
The origin of the town dates back to the time of Al-Andalus when it was an important farmstead.Following the Christian reconquest, it was chartered by Alphonso X and ceded to the Ecclesiastic Council of Seville. From that time onwards the history of Umbrete has been closely linked to that of Seville.
