The Wine and Chestnut Fair has been held since 2009, and was declared a Special Provincial Tourist in its first year thanks to its warm welcome.

The chestnut and wine, along with other delicacies of Yunquera, are what make this fair special. The village demonstrates a long food-producing history and a culture that encompasses this tradition (songs, traditions, dances, etc.), passed down from generation to generation. Other products like oil, pickled products, honey, handmade sweets, bread, cured meat, wicker, etc., are also on the agenda for the fair.

Don't miss the cultural events, rooted in the tradition of picking grapes and chestnuts, and wine-making (and of course, its consumption in the many taverns of the town).

And what's a nice glass of wine in a tavern without a spontaneous flamenco performance, or everyone dancing and singing about the days of yore; and from there, the party begins with all that traditionally had to do with these products.

On this weekend there will be guided tours, gastronomic tastings, chestnut roasting, traditional games and songs, the chestnut flamenco festival, an artisan organic food market, traditional rural flamenco, musical groups and more, all making up a varied programme with something for everyone.

Undoubtedly, a weekend full of activities to learn even more about the identity of this paradise among the Spanish fir trees, Yunquera.
