A visit to the Fortress of La Mota - admission to the monument with an audio-guide

Admission and an audio-guide will enable you to learn all about the Fortress of La Mota Monumental Complex. A Fortified Mediaeval City, which was the key, a garrison and defence for the kingdoms of Castile because it is on the border.

Stroll amongst the city walls, through strategic gateways, visit the rooms, the urban labyrinth, the Alcazaba, the Mayor Abacial Church, wine cellars, the Torre de la Cárcel (Prison Tower), the ramparts, streets, houses, etc. With your admission we will provide you with a plan/description of the enclosure and an enjoyable audio-guide in different languages (there is a special version for children).

The visit includes the projection of an educational audio-visual guide in the Mayor Abacial Church, that is shown at different set times and re-enacts the history of the city.

La Mota Fortress - Opening times:

- Spring-summer (1 Apr to 14 Oct): 10.30am to 7.30pm (every day incl. Sunday)

- Autumn-winter (15 Oct to 31 Mar): 10am to 6pm  - (every day incl. Sunday)

- Special opening time (24 and 31 December and 5 January): 10am to 2pm

- Closed on: 25 December, 1 and 6 January

Prices:

- General admission Adults: €8

- Reduced admission: €4

- Children under 6 years old: Free.

- Groups: (minimum 20 people): €5

- On Tuesdays from 3pm admission is free. If it is a public holiday, free admission will be on the next working day.
