Easter week in Alhaurín de la Torre is declared Fiesta of Tourist Interest in Andalusia.

On Palm Sunday is the procession of Our Father Jesus of Peace and Love, and his holy Mother, Holy Maria of Hope, acclaimed and received by a sea of golden palms upon a donkey's back.

The town relives each year the rivalry of its religious congregations. The procession of the "purple" brotherhood takes place on Holy Thursday, and that of the "green" brotherhood on Holy Friday. Both come together on Resurrection Sunday with the appearance of our Father Jesus risen from the dead.
