Mudejar Route

The Cicerones Gaditanos association will help you discover the Mudejar trail left on the streets of the city of Cádiz, in its stones and its monuments.

The tour includes monumental remains left to us by the Mudejar Culture a complex and magnificent symbiosis pass of the architectural knowledge passed on by the Moors who remained in the city after it had been conquered by Castile and it had fallen under the political and ideological control of the new Christian population with Castilian aesthetic requirements.

The tour includes visits to monuments and other related places with details to be seen on buildings of both a private and a commercial nature.

The route starts in the Calle Buenos Aires and features the Cádiz Casino the Falla Theatre, the Plaza Sacramento, the Casa de la Contratación, the Old Cathedral, Los Blancos Archways and the Santa María neighbourhood. The tour ends in the Plaza de las Tortugas.
