This village belongs to the Municipality of Carcheles, which combines this village and the one of Carchel. It is situated to the south of the province, in the middle of the southern mountains, next to the motorway that links Granada and Jaen, in a rugged mountainous landscape with olive groves and orchards alongside the Campillo river.
