Club Deportivo Ecuestre Espíritu del Viento

We are a registered equestrian sport club, promoting the discipline of Endurance and, more importantly, natural liberty training techniques for horses, be they youngsters being started or re-schooling older horses. We follow a respectful ethology, treating horses like they should be treated, living in herds with ad-lib hay and no metal on their feet or in their mouths.

Offering livery services, schooling of both horses and riders, we have over 40 years experience in this field. Our treks follow the lost routes of the “Arrieros”, the traders and smugglers of the past, up into the mountains of Andalucía, seeing flora and fauna rarely enjoyed today.

Installations include luxury stables with rubber floor matting and micro-spray cooling system, flood lit sand school, round pen and horse walker. All paddocks are very large with natural and man-made shelters, constant fresh water and a constant supply of forage. Services include that of the only equine podologist in Andalucía, equine massage therapist, complete schooling from groundwork to ridden, endurance training and more. Children are encouraged to discover as they learn and ride, to be able to truly understand and care for the majestic animal that is the horse.
