Holy Week in Castril is marked by a marked austerity and seclusion, fleeing from the Andalusian baroque style and adopting a Castilian flavour and its own forms.
The Procession of the Holy Sacrament and the Procession of the Sorrows stand out, the latter with a single procession, which travels through Castril on the night of Good Friday, carried on parihuelas, in front of the Virgin are the Sisters, rigorously dressed in black and with scapulars, carrying candles. Leading the procession are the girls and young women, who are responsible for carrying the guiding cross. The men go under and behind the procession. Closing the procession is the music band.
The Holy Week of Castril has been declared a festival of Tourist Interest to the Holy Week of Andalusia.
