On the north face of the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada, displaying the old part of town on top of a hill, lies Dolar, the previous location for a medieval fortress which has become an ideal place for hill walking around the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada.
History
The history of this village is linked since ancient times to the extraction of mineral resources, which would also be the modus vivendi of the inhabitants of this AREA in the Arab Andalusian period. After the conquest of the kingdom of Granada by the Catholic Monarchs, it became the entailed state of Don Rodrigo de Mendoza.Dólar
