Yeguada Cárdenas

The Cárdenas Stud Farm is synonymous with Écija. Located just four kilometres from the city, it occupies the site of the old San Pablo olive press. The Cárdenas lineage is one of the oldest stud farms dedicated to breeding Spanish horses; it is also the largest and the one that with the highest number of award-winning horses since the 1960s.

This stud farm is unique in the history of the Spanish horse, and its studs have been awarded the Spanish champions nine times. Likewise, its mares have won the same award five times. Together, they have won the Champion of Champions title four times.
