San Agustín Church was built between 1950 and 1952, thanks to the donations and efforts of the inhabitants of El Burgo.

The purpose for building this church was to bring the liturgy closer to the ederly and to people who had difficulties walking to go to Encarnación Church, in the town's main square, in a hill.

The church was finished, but the yard and the priest's house were not. One day, two twelve-years-old children were playing in the yard and they found a metal ball. They took it to another place, where they pulled the ring on the ball; one died and the other was badly wounded. Obviously, the object was a vestige of the Spanish Civil War.

It houses interesting images, such as the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Saint Agustin, the Crist of Forgiveness, Our Lady of Fatima or Saint Joseph.
