Located in El Viso del Alcor, the Juan Antonio Morillo Ruiz - Basilippo Olive Cultural Centre gives visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of “extra virgin olive oil”, one of the greatest treasures of Andalusian culture and the Mediterranean diet. Basilippo is an "signature" oil mill producing oils of high quality, with a unique personality and limited production from olive trees owned by the family (Arbequina, Manzanilla Sevillana and Picual).

The guided tour is an intimate, educational experience of great cultural and gastronomic interest, which will help you discover the factors and the personal philosophy that influence the production of Basilippo territorial "extra virgin" oils (includes an initial sampling and a subsequent tasting in one of the estate's private halls).

Advance booking is recommended. Basilippo arranges customised tours for individuals, couples and families. The estate has a shop which is open to show visitors daily.

Basilippo has won over thirty international awards prizes over the last five years. Recently its Arbequina single variety (“First Days of the Harvest”) was placed in the top 100 at the Evooleum international competition, where the hundred best extra virgin olive oil in the world were chosen (with a score of 92/100). In 2016 Basilippo was awarded the 2016 “Flag of Andalusia” granted by the Delegation of the Regional Government of Andalusia in Seville.

Opening times: Monday to Friday, 9am to 2pm and 4.30pm to 8pm. Saturday, 9 am to 2 pm. July and August: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 2pm.
