Over 20 km to the southwest of the capital of Granada, Escúzar shares the characteristics of the villages nearby the city of the Alhambra as well as those to the west of Granada, which are becoming a tourist enclave due to the distinctiveness of the location, and to the south, the incomparable scenery of the north face of Sierra Tejeda.
HistoryThe term Escuzar derives from a common toponym in Andalusia and all over Spain, ie. Askudar or Askusar.
It is located on the old route of large farmhouses between Granada and Alhama de Granada. It is historically linked to both cities.
