The Science Park is an interactive museum, the first of its type in southern Spain and an example for teaching about science at a European level.

Just a few minutes from the historic centre of Granada and with 70,000 square metres, it has become one of the main cultural and tourist attractions in Andalusia and the most visited museum.

Formed by a wide range of permanent and temporary exhibitions, it is a place where visitors, regardless of their age, learn by taking part in a number of activities.

The Science Park is comprised of various areas:

- Macroscopio. This is the new building which has increased the facilities of the Science Park. The different exhibition areas are distributed around the buildng, starting with the large entrance hall

- Péndulo de Foucault Building. Mechanics, physics, chemistry and geology are the main features of the exhibition rooms in this building, where it is “forbidden not to touch.”

- Outdoor / Butterflys / Birds of Prey in flight. The Science Park opens onto the outside with over 27,000m2 of green areas. The Garden of Astronomy, the Dynamic Sculptures, the Energies Area, the mechanics and perception models and other outdoor games comprise the outside spaces.

BioDome: The BioDome is a Window on Life that has the biodiversity of the planet as its main focus. It is a space in where you can understand the relationships that exist between living beings and the environment in which they live, as well as the mechanisms that allow life to exist and the need to preserve it. It is an immersive space with living beings as protagonists, but above all it is a place for environmental education, species conservation and scientific research.

- Temporary Exhibitions. More than 5,000m2 spread out amongst its different sized exhibition rooms.

Tuesday-Saturday and Mondays the day before a public holiday from 10am-7pm Sundays and bank holidays, 10am-3pm. Closed: Every Monday, 1 January, 6th January, 1 May and 25 December.
