The equestrian route known as the IE-024.2 El Torno - La Barca de la Florida, starting at El Torno, encompasses various rural trails amid farmland and the banks of the Guadalete river, ending at the hamlet of La Barca de la Florida, Jerez province. It will soon connect with the IE-024.1 Laguna de Medina- Rajamancera.

At an international level, the Jerez countryside is known due to its Designation of Origin wine, which can be tasted on the Jerez Region, but also due to its natural wealth, because it is irrigated by the Guadalete river and features some wetlands, such as the Lagunas de Medina and Torrox.

Route

The route starts at El Torno, a hamlet of Jerez de la Frontera, from where it heads southeast. The whole route passes through land irrigated by the Guadalete river, such as the Vega del Torno, where lush green landscapes predominate, before turning towards the northeast.

A few kilometres from our final destination, we reach Cortijo de la Florida on the right before finally reaching La Barca de la Florida.
