Popularly known as "La Salvaora" and "La Velada", La Línea Fair is the main festivity in the town. It has been held since 1879 and has been declared an event of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia.
There are more than 30 marquees set up in the fairground with good music, dancing, food and a festive atmosphere. The party goes on until early hours of the morning amongst colourful little lanterns, "rebujito" and sevillanas.
Some of the events planned are the coronation of the Queen and her ladies-in-waiting, the parade and the "Rociero" Sunday, which is the only day when people come to fair during the day, instead of in the evening. On "Rociero" Sunday, which started spontaneously in the 1980s, the party started in the town centre, and then moves to the fairground.
