Playa de la Duquesa-El Castillo

Duquesa-El Castillo is in the Malaga village of Manilva, and is a beach next to the La Duquesa Marina, which has suffered a recession induced by the port.

Area of historic interest. There is a Roman site known as “Entorno del Castillo de la Duquesa". The Castillo de la Duquesa (Castle of the Duchess), is in good condition and was built in 1767 during the reign of Charles III, improving the defence of the continuous disembarkations by pirates and privateers. There is also a Roman archaeological site close by.
