Obrador y Museo del Mosto Castillo de Moriles
Castillo de Moriles is committed to the recovery of rather forgotten culinary traditions based on the most emblematic and representative product of Moriles and the renowned brand of Montilla-Moriles: unfermented wine. In this area, traditional ancient recipes have been recovered based on unfermented wines, dishes like "arrope" (grape concentrate) and "gachas de mosto" a traditional dessert, with exquisite flavours and very popular.
Another two lines of products are available: desserts and dairy products, with special mention for"gachas de mosto", and traditional pastries, including exquisite cupcakes, honey.coated fritters, doughnuts and delicious "turrolate" made with cocoa and almonds or peanuts.
Then there is the Museo del Mosto where you can discover the traditional art of extracting and transforming unfermented wine.
Opening times: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2pm and 5 to 8pm. Saturday, 9 am to 2 pm. Sunday and public holidays by prior appointment.
