From Osuna to Ronda on horseback
ROUTE PROGRAM
Day 1.
Reception in OSUNA (Seville) and accommodation of the participants in rural houses. After noon we will all meet on the block, to get to know each other better and explain everything related to the route. Later we will have a first contact with the horses, in order to assign the appropriate horse to each rider.
Day 2.
At 8:00 in the morning, miller breakfast with bread and oil to start the route at 9:00, from La Colegiata de OSUNA towards the real path of Osuna to Ronda. We will ride through a typical area of the Sevillian countryside, between olive groves, wheat fields and scrubland. We will pass by a herd of fighting bulls. To make our lunch stop at the Cortijo de La Ratera, where we will visit its curious hermitage from the 19th century, much visited by the residents of the place. After lunch we will continue our route, in a section of about eight kilometers to end the day in the Sevillian town of EL SAUCEJO.
Day 3.
At 8:00 in the morning, we will have our breakfast, to be with our horses at 9:00 hours and start the second day on horseback. We will leave from the Sevillian town of El Saucejo, we will rest for half an hour to have a snack and drink the horses. We will continue along the path until we reach the Caños Santo Convent (16th century) to have a country lunch, with a stop of about 2 hours, where we will remove all the horses from their mounts to rest, as well as the riders. At approximately 17:00 hours, we will resume our route to enter the Corbones river up, until we reach its source and, new stop. Later, we will ride to the beautiful Cadiz town of Alcalá del Valle, where our day will end to spend the night in a rural hotel.
Day 4. We will hit the bullseye again at 8:00 in the morning to start the day with a good breakfast and recharge our batteries for the final stretch of the route that will take us into the Ronda mountains. At 9:00 we will arrive at the stable where our companions on the road, the horses, will spend the night. Once we are all on the back of our horses, we will continue the route, making a stop to visit a wine cellar and taste its wines, until we reach Ronda, the cradle of banditry par excellence, in Malaga, ending our route at the bicentennial Plaza de Toros. We will have a couple of stops to stretch our legs and refresh ourselves with a short snack. In Ronda, we will proceed to board our horses in a truck that will transfer them to the starting block of the route. We will visit the bullfighting museum, located in the Plaza de Toros and a brief visit to the city of Ronda, to return by car to our starting point in the complex "Casas Rurales Las Viñas" in Osuna, where we will spend the night again.
5th day. Free day to visit the Villa Ducal de Osuna, its monuments, its streets and taste its typical dishes. Final farewell of the participants.
