Biography

Francisco Franco Fernández was born in Dos Hermanas (Seville) in 1966 He developed his passion for the guitar thanks to his father, Luis Franco, and a guitarist who used to play in many of the flamenco opera troupes His father had been a guitarist, so Paco soon decided to be one, too

His father gave him his nickname after he was excluded from a contest during the Spanish transition because his name was Francisco Franco, so Luis decided to give him the name of the neighbourhood in which he had grown up - La Jarana He started to study in the Seville Higher Music Conservatory until he met Rafael Riqueni and Isidoro Carmona when he was thirteen

When he developed his guitar playing he realised he was good at accompanying dancing, so he started work in Mario Maya's company Then he played with artists such as Matilde Coral or Farruco until he married the dancer Eva la Hierbabuena Since then he has played with her and composed the music for her shows He also plays often with singers such as Segundo Falcón and Arcángel and he has recorded albums with great artists such as El Chocolate or El Lebrijano He has not released any solo albums yet
