Children Easter Week in Pedro Abad

Start date

Place
Procession that has been carried out since 16 years ago at the Santa Rafaela María School in our town, where, as its name indicates, the steps are small where the Nazarenes and statue-bearers are young schoolchildren.
As Easter approaches, the school prepares for its own procession: tunics, steps, clothes of the saints… everything has its ritual. On the specific day, children go prepared for the occasion, some with tunics, others with drums or trumpet, dressed like Romans to play processional marches, and others as statue-bearers.
Before the start of the procession, a child of the scholastic community reads the opening speech in the school auditorium, and thereafter the procession begins, marching one by one along the streets of Pedro Abad, an extraordinary event in town, which comes out to witness the small members of the brotherhood.
The procession ends with its arrival at the entrance to The Slaves of the Sacred Heart Church, where it remains on display for a few days.
