Excursión a Carmona desde Sevilla

Carmona, called the "Guiding Light of Europe" is a famous mediaeval city with important archaeological remains like the underground tunnels of San Felipe, the stately homes and the Necropolis.

This makes the visit to Carmona one of the most popular half-day excursions organised by Naturanda. Very Andalusian in character and with a great monumental heritage, Carmona is more then 5,000 years old and is listed as the first archaeological site opened to the public in Spain. You will be taken by private transport to Carmona which takes about 40 minutes, to visit some of the city's most iconic attractions, accompanied by a Naturanda guide.

The stunning Roman Necropolis that is over 5,000 years old holds extraordinary treasures like the Elephant's Tomb and the Roman Mausoleum. Cultures like the Carthaginians, Romans, Moors and Christians left an indelible legacy of great importance that can still be seen on every street corner.

The tour passes through the Puerta de Sevilla and the Puerta de Córdoba leading to the Alcázar del Rey Don Pedro fortress that has been converted into a Parador hotel by the Carmona Town Council. It then continues through the old town along the narrow streets so typical of an Andalusian town. You will see numerous Mudéjar temples and convents and enjoy marvellous views of the Vega de Carmona plain from one of the extraordinary lookout points that will leave an unforgettable impression.

After a tour on foot through all the best parts of this beautiful town, you will be transported back to Seville.
