The María Luisa Park is the first urban park in Seville and an important green focal point for the city as well as being an extremely visual and photogenic natural area.

It was originally a part of the private gardens belong to the Crown Princess María Luisa Fernanda, Duchess of Montpensier, who donated it to the city of Seville in 1914. It also has a relationship with King Alfonso XII. Some years later it would become an Asset of Cultural Interest catalogued as a Historic Garden in the style of a French landscaper. The park also includes the Plaza de España, created by Aníbal González for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. It was the largest feature built for the event and symbolises the embrace of what had been the American territories.

The tour includes a walk through the María Luisa Park where you can enjoy the lush gardens, careful details and the surprising design of the fountains and ceramic features. When walking along the pathways it is as if you were visiting the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. Naturanda's official guide will explain the significance of the natural and archaeological features and reveal the secrets and unusual elements that go unnoticed by passers-by. A visit to the Plaza de España is an experience not to be missed as it is culturally enriching and highlights the connection with Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. We will make a detailed visit of the Plaza de España and the Plaza de América, trying to understand the works designed by Forestier and Aníbal González, and it includes a historical review of the lives of some of Seville's most illustrious characters and the history of Seville in the 20th century.
