Sevilla Aquarium

Seville Aquarium offers the visitors a tour through 35 displays that allow them to learn about the flora and fauna that Magellan encountered during his journey back in 1519 when he was pursuing an alternative route to reach the Spice Islands.

With more than 3,000 cubic meters of water, over 400 marine species and more than 7,000 specimens, the Aquarium portrays what Magellan experienced in his two year voyage. The visitor’s own journey follows a 700 metre path and it lasts about an hour and a half.

The main attraction is one of the biggest tanks of sharks in Europe, which contains two million litres of water and a 9 metre deep cascade.

Please note: General rate: - For all reduced rates it is necessary to show the ID card or certificate proving this entitlement. -For each paying adult, a maximum of two children under 4 years of age can benefit from free admission. -Age verification at the entrance: at the Aquarium ticket office, the age of the customers will be visually verified. In cases where there is reasonable doubt about age, the customer (or the adult responsible for them) will be asked for proof of age (ID card or family record book, failing this). In the event of a difference between the applicable rate and that of the paid ticket, the customer will be charged the corresponding amount. GENERAL PUBLIC ACTIVITIES - The guided tour lasts approx. 90 minutes. One guide will take a maximum of 30 people. The number of guides is limited. In the case of a group of children under 6 years of age, one accompanying person for every 10 people. -Free companions for groups with special needs (SEN): one companion for every 10 people. SCHOOLS - Free admission for children under 4 years of age is not applicable for school groups. - Guided tours in English are subject to availability of guides, day and time.

Opening hours from September to June: Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 h. Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00 h. Summer timetable (July and August): From Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00 h. Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00 h. Keep in mind: The ticket office closes 1 hour before the Aquarium closes Access to the aquarium will be possible up to 1 hour before closing it so that the visitor has time to visit. The tour takes approximately 90 minutes. Holidays christmas hours: 24, 31 December and 5 January: 10:00 - 16:00 25 December, 1, 6 January : 12:00 - 18:00 Opening hours of the store: from 10:15 until closing of the Aquarium. The schedule can be modified for extra activities of the Aquarium.
