La Pescadería

The Restaurante La Pescadería is in the historic quarter of Tarifa, a few metres from the fishing port and the ferry to Tangiers. Surrounded by the village's main hotels and "accommodation with charm", it is a compulsory and favourite meeting place.

Their cuisine is based on the freshest local produce, combining the best of garden produce and seafood for such delicious dishes as warm salad of tuna, "salmorejo" tomato paste with shavings of "mojama", tuna and monkfish carpaccio, and their exquisite salmon and mango salad, without forgetting the essential fried fish.

One of their specialities came from an old, local recipe: seafood rice, a dish made for long days working in the "almadrabas" fishing tuna. Their tuna taster is a unique dish: prepared in 4 ways that allow you to savour this hearty fish.
