Playamar

Playamar is an urban beach in the town of Torremolinos , Malaga, with many excellent services and infrastructures (bars, beach bars, restaurants, toilets, showers, hammock rental), close to shopping centres and with good transport links.

It is a very vast beach, with fine sand and shady areas with an oasis of palm trees. Its name comes from the"Conjunto Playamar" estate, which is an example of well-interpreted modernity and a good relationship between architecture designed for tourism, the environment and landscaping. This style is known as Relax Architecture.

On Playamar Beach promenade there is a renovated set of hotels and many kinds of shops, as well as parking areas, and cycle and skating paths.It is easily accessible on foot, by car and by bus. The bus lines are the local line L-2 Playamar and the inter-city line, M-123, both from the centre of Torremolinos and with stops along the promenade. One of these stops is the Bajondillo / Playamar Tourist Office. The local "Cercanías" train station, "La Colina," is within walking distance from the beach.
