Hospital of Santiago

The Hospital of Santiago was built between 1562 and 1576 and was the work of the Spanish architect Andrés de Vandelvira. It was designed as a charitable work, consisting of a hospital for the poor, a church, a pantheon and a palace.
It functioned as a hospital until 1975 and is currently a cultural and multi-function centre that is very important on the social and cultural life of the city.
