This is one of the most important days of the year. Valenzuela becomes a riot of light and colour. The streets through which the procession passes are adorned with carpets of coloured sawdust, flower pots, gorgeous shawls and bedspreads hanging from the balconies, and street altars where the procession stops to pay homage.

Declared a Festival of Provincial Tourist Interest.
