The Cádiz coast is one of the best places for flying, with both countryside and beaches available for this sports activity. Vejer was one of the first places where flying began in Spain, and year after year it continues to offer some quality air routes.

Vejer de la Frontera is located at an altitude of 201 metres and is 54 kilometres from Cadiz, the province's main town. It is home to some very important architectural sites, registered as national Cultural Heritage, which makes it one of Spain's most beautiful towns. Today, Vejer is a centre for enjoying culture, nature, architecture, beaches and some unique experiences.

Climate

The area enjoys a mild winter and a pleasant summer, which makes flying a pleasure. The site has suitable topography, very good launch and landing sites and a climate that allows year-round flying.

The flying area is a slope located approximately 190 metres above sea level; with a drop of 150 metres, which takes place over a horizontal distance of 1.5 Km of thermal soaring flight. The preferred flying here is slope soaring.
