La Resinera

The old chapel and school belonging to the Unión Resinera Española resin factory today houses the La Resinera information point.

From its privileged location the visitor can learn all about the process of resin extraction and about the other resources which, both today and in the past, have served to sustain the inhabitants of Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama nature reserve. It also takes a look at the historical heritage handed down by the various peoples who have passed through these frontier lands, with particular emphasis on the Muslim culture.
