The sheer vastness of Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Nature Reserve always amazes visitors. It is the largest protected area in Spain, and boasts vertiginous rock walls that contrast with deep valleys and forests. And water, one of the main features, always runs free and sometimes wild. Its role in this natural space is essential, as it also provides the setting for one of the greatest adventures: white water rafting.

What does this experience involve? White water rafting is a recreational outdoor activity which gained popularity in the middle of the last century. offer this activity, which basically involves using an inflatable raft to navigate a river. The number of people on the raft varies between 4 and 8 people and a guide in front, who is the person who knows the river best and is in charge of providing the experience and giving directions to the participants.

When you do rafting with teamwork is essential, as you will have to row together to overcome the difficulties on the river; a long journey that, in some cases, can be over 2 hours, depending on the route that you chose. So, on a raft and as a team, you are going to do a sport, but also a coaching session to encourage the empathy and cooperation that you need to negotiate the white water.
