The Cortijo El Paso Country House is located in the north of the province of Almería, near the Sierra María-Los Vélez Nature Reserve, it is in the municipal district of Vélez-Blanco, and is about 5 kilometres from the towns of Vélez Rubio and Vélez-Blanco.

The Cortijo El Paso Country House has a magnificent location where you can enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Vélez region, dominated by the mountain called “La Muela de Montalviche” with its impressive 200-metre high crags and the Corneros River. A number of birds of prey can be observed, including eagles and other species whose populations are currently recovering in this region as well as great variety of other bird species.

The Cortijo El Paso Country House was built in 1868 and recently restored preserving its original structure and thick walls which protect you from the heat in the summer and cold in the winter. Carefully restored furniture and decorative elements have been preserved which give a warm, cosy atmosphere, and it is equipped with all the necessary comforts to make your stay enjoyable and for you to relax with your family or friends in the peace and tranquillity of nature.
