Located in Almednilla, the Almedinilla Visitor Centre is located in the middle of the Subbética region of Cordoba, between Alcalá La Real (Jaén) and Priego de Córdoba. This white Cordoban town is bathed in a sea of olive trees and the River Caicena.

The area is known for its archaeological sites, such as the Roman town of "El Ruedo" and the Iberian settlement ofEl Cerro de la Cruz”, both of which are Sites of Cultural Interest. The Historical and Archaeological Museum is a highly recommended attraction due to its treasures that were found via excavations at the aforementioned sites, including the statue of the god, Hypnos.

Thanks to the richness of its archaeological sites, Festum, (Almedinilla's Ibero-Roman Event) has been held here since 2008. This event sees the past, present and future combine. Festum takes place during the second or third week of August and it offers a wide variety of activities: conferences, dramatised tours of the archaeological sites, historical re-enactments, parades, Roman banquets and a Roman market.

Almedinilla, also known as the “Land Dreams”, is home to stunning landscape that can be explored by hiking routes such as the “Salto del Caballo”.

It is recommended you start your visit to Almedinilla at theVisitor Centre where you are offered all the information necessary for your visit to the “Land of Dreams”.
