El Viejo Molino Country House Lodge
El Viejo Molino Country House Lodge is a hundred-year-old oil mill located in the heart of Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Nature Reserve. The building still maintains a large part of its original structure, where two of its original millstones stand out.
The house is in a high area, overlooking the huge meadows and with a path that takes us to Jabugo, a town that is famous all over the world for the extraordinary quality of its Iberian pig products, which are raised in these ecosystems between holm oaks and cork oaks.
Gastronomy is an important part of the house – there is a huge kitchen in the upper part, from which we can see the town of Cortegana and its castle.
The farm is full of cork oaks, olive trees and other fruit trees, and many birds live in the area. Species such as the cinereous vulture, woodpeckers, storks and bee-eaters can be spotted here.
