The Chapel of Montserrat was built at the beginning of the 18th century, it was the seat of the Hermandad de la Antigua y Siete Dolores brotherhood until it was redeemed by the State at the end of the 19th century. In 1939 it was transferred to the Hermandad de Montserrat brotherhood, which moved from the nearby convent of San Pablo.

The cult of this Virgin was brought by the Catalans who moved to Seville to trade with America

The interior of the chapel consists of a rectangular nave covered by a barrel vault. The main altarpiece is presided over by the Cristo del Buen Ladrón, with the Virgin of Montserrat and San Juan Evangelista at the sides. On the side walls Dimas and Gestas are the temple's most striking features.

The Cristo de la Conversión del Buen Ladrón was carved by Juan de Mesa four centuries ago, it was finished in 1620. The Virgin of Montserrat is by an unknown sculptor.

The procession takes place on Good Friday in the afternoon.

Monday to Friday from 11am to 1pm and from 6.30pm to 9pm. Sunday from 12 midday to 1.30pm. Mass on Sundays at 12.30pm.
