When the sun goes down over the El Rocío marsh

Cuando el sol cae en la marisma del Rocío (8).JPG

One of the most fascinating moments in Doñana, the sunsets, from the beautiful marsh walk at El Rocío, next to the shrine.

Every day when the sun goes down, the sky at El Rocío merges with the calm waters of El Rocío marsh and is when the birds, like a choir, start to sing in unison, something that will be stamped on your mind and which, as I say, happens every day in El Rocío.

The sun gives a warning as it gradually sinks and the show will start!

Take a seat, relax, forget your problems and just start to enjoy it.

The scene will light up in orange. The sky will make a setting like a fire under the marsh waters and new colours will gradually begin to appear.

Small figures disguised as birds start their act playing at creating little silhouettes against the water of the marsh.

Thousands of reflections only dotted with coming and going of dozens of ducks swimming there, and flooding your mind with spectacular moments like this

After show of "fire", the sun gradually sinks, giving way to skies like these

Finally, the colour change to mauves the famous magical hour

This is time of day that many photographers love and is so spectacular in the marshes of El Rocío.

So now you know, if you are in or near Doñana, remember that as the sun in El Rocío sets it gives us moments like this. A beautiful, unforgettable sunset that, together with a cup of coffee and stroll along the marsh believe me, you will love it.
