It is an impossible task to cover the immense musical, cultural, historical and social legacy that Rocío Jurado left behind. On the tour of the Rocío Jurado Interpretation Centre, the Voice of the Millennium, visitors can discover the great popularity achieved by this singer who, right from the start, managed to win over the world with her beautiful voice and larger-than-life personality. Unassuming, close and affectionate with the public, she dedicated her time to those in need. She loved the land where she was born and its people; she was cosmopolitan and a fighter in the face of adversity. Rocío was a woman who didn't fit into any boxes or clichés, so this collection tries to explore her character and show another side of her that is not widely known, just as she really was. A woman who made her mark in music and is a symbol of the revolution that took place in a culturally rich century that was evolving fast.

The themed areas of Rocío Jurado Interpretation Centre, The Voice of the Millennium are the following:

1.- Interactive musical area Visitors will be able to listen to Rocío's greatest hits through a surround sound system.

2.- The beginnings of "The Award-Winning Girl” This section is a summary of Rocío's beginnings: her life in Chipiona, her family, her first successes in various competitions (Seville, Jerez, Huelva), several anecdotes and her subsequent departure to Madrid.

3.- From flamenco clubs and shows to acting As soon as Rocío arrived in Madrid, she worked very hard during the first years of her career to get her big break. She would juggle performances in nightclubs with making films and recording many programmes for Radio Televisión Española, as well as touring different shows. Her career was established during these years and she became very popular.

4.- A star is born As a result of her hard work over the previous years, her tenacity and her unquestionable innate qualities, Rocío became an internationally famous artist. Her voice crossed the borders of Spain and Europe, and was highly revered in the Americas. The Gran Vía was too small for her and during those years her voice helped to promote and enhance the value of flamenco.

5.- Rocío, a woman with a strong commitment “La más grande” (“The Greatest”, as she was known) was much more than just a singer. Her human qualities were even greater than her qualities as a performer. She was committed from the start to those in need, to the people around her, and she actively fought for the causes in which she believed.

6.- A prophet in her own land Rocío broke the cliché and she was indeed a prophet in her own land: she proudly flew the flag of Chipiona wherever she went, and publicly showed her devotion to the Our Lady of Regla.

7.- Central area In the central area of the exhibition, visitors will be able to see some of the dresses and clothing that the singer from Chipiona wore at different times in her career, in various scenic spaces that recreate various facets of her life. The exhibition also features a central auditorium that reinforces the multimedia experience of the visit. In this same place there is a considerable number of the many awards that the singer won throughout her career, and photographs of friends from the world of art and entertainment.
