Monumento a Rocío Jurado

The Monument to Rocío Jurado, by Juan de Ávalos, is located at the entrance to the Fishing Port and Marina in Chipiona, with her back to the Guadalquivir River and Doñana National Park, looking towards the neighbourhood of her birth and the avenue that bears her name.

The artist made a gift of it to the singer and she, in turn, donated it to Chipiona, where it was unveiled on 19 August 1994. The statue, sculpted in bronze and stone, is 2.4 metres high, on pillars that stand 8-metres tall over a fountain and roundabout.
