Film Routes in Andalusia

Fort Bravo

Did you know that Andalusia was the stage for many productions, such as "Lawrence of Arabia” (1962), "Cleopatra "(1963), "The Neverending Story” (1984), "Empire of the Sun” (1987), "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade "(1989), "007, Die Another Day "(2002), "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones "(2002) and "Alatriste” (2005)?

The Tabernas Desert in Almería, Cadiz, Úbeda/Baeza (Jaén), Riotinto mines (Huelva) and Seville have all been the stage, amongst many others, for filming different productions, consolidating Andalusia as a film destination year after year.

For example, the film "Marshland" (2014) brought the rice fields of Isla Mayor and La Puebla del Río (Seville) to life.

Not forgetting that the fifth season of "Game of Thrones” transformed the bullring in Osuna (Seville) and the Royal Palace in Seville into a fictional kingdom.

To discover all these places, there are Film routes where you can learn about the shoots and visit the locations in Andalusia where your favourite films were made.
